Another Love Song, Again

by Hiền Nga

I say,
“love is a steamboat.
Without a captain,
you’re lost in the sea.”

You say,
“love is a racecar.
Driving carelessly,
you will hit the wall.”

I’m a racecar,
You’ll be my highway.
You’re a steamboat,
I’ll be your ocean.

I’m here
writing a letter.
You will never know
‘cause I won’t send it.

You’re there
writing a poem.
I will never know
‘cause you won’t sing it.
